SAKAMOTO DAYS is getting amazingly popular in spite of how new it is. Honestly, it’s a testament to how good the story of this anime is, which itself is based off of the manga of the same name by Yuto Suzuki. Fans of that manga will recall the ridiculous yet awesomely over-the-top action scenes that Sakamoto and his friends and enemies alike pull off over the course of that story. The fact that TMS Entertainment (Detective Conan, Lupin the Third, Anpanman) is the studio behind it would also explain how good it is. From what we’ve seen so far, their animators have been hard at work giving us a very good-looking anime. Complete with some hilarious jiggle physics from Sakamoto. You’ll know what I mean when you watch this anime on Netflix.
All this explains why the aforementioned Netflix really wants to hype up SAKAMOTO DAYS. So much so that they’ve just released a mid-season trailer for the first cours of the first season of that anime. Don’t believe me? Netflix is proud to hype up the second half of the first cours of the first season of the hit anime SAKAMOTO DAYS with a mid-season trailer on YouTube. This trailer basically gives us a look at what will happen in that second half of this action-packed anime, and entirely in English dub as well. Your mileage may vary depending on whether you’re a Japanese audio purist or are just fine with English dub, but you can’t deny that the action still looks great regardless. Especially when you’re watching a skeletal T-rex engaging in melee with our heroes. Trust me, it makes sense in context…kind of?
Fortunately, you won’t have long to find out what that context is. The second half of SAKAMOTO DAYS cours 1 will make its debut on February 15, 2025 at 6:30 AM PST. As you might be able to guess, you can watch it only on Netflix.
