Zenshu Ep. 6 “CHANGE” features Natsuko reacting to the first time she has ever lost, yes. However, that doesn’t mean she gives up. On the contrary, it’s making her value her new friends even more. Especially since one of her more draconic friends is going to provide some very critical air support.

Zenshu Ep. 6 “CHANGE” is the sixth episode (you can read my reviews for Ep. 1, Ep. 2, Ep. 3, Ep. 4, and Ep. 5 here) of this isekai fantasy anime series. Said anime series is not the anime adaptation of any manga, but rather, it is its own original anime. MAPPA (Zombie Land Saga, Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man) is the animation studio behind this anime series. Crunchyroll is the company licensing this anime for its global release.
Production Cast
Kiyoshi Matsuda and Yasutomo Okamoto are the directors behind Zenshu Ep. 6 “CHANGE”, with Kimiko Ueno as the writer, Teruyuki Omine and Hiroshi Kobayashi as the storyboarders, and Kayoko Ishikawa and Etsuko Sumimoto as the chief animation directors. As for Zenshu as a whole, we do still know that Mitsue Yamazaki is the director, with Kimiko Ueno as the script writer. Yoshiteru Tsujino is responsible for character design and world setting, with Kayoko Ishikawa also doing character design while also being the chief animation director alongside Etsuko Sumimoto, Kazuko Hayakawa, and Shuji Takahara. Sumie Noro is the assistant director, with Akio Shimada as the art director, Ayako Suenaga as the color designer, Kenta Fujita as the director of photography, Mutsumi Takemiya as the editor, Yukari Hashimoto as the composer, dugout as the sound producer, Makoto Tanimura (Sound Wing) as the casting manager, and Takahiro Ogawa as the animation producer.
Now as for that music: the opening theme song for Zenshu is “Zen” by Band-Maid. Meanwhile, “Tada, Kimo no Mama de” by Sou is the ending theme song.

Zenshu Ep. 6 “CHANGE”: Synopsis
Alas, Zenshu is still a fairly recent anime series. In fact, Zenshu Ep. 6 “CHANGE” only just made its debut two days ago as of this writing. Thus, you will all get the official synopsis of this anime from Crunchyroll rather than a spoiler-filled plot summary. Here’s that synopsis below:
Natsuko loses to the Voids for the first time, but…

Again, it’s the story of Zenshu Ep. 6 “CHANGE” that keeps me on the edge of my seat. All because this episode definitely gives us the rare isekai protagonist who isn’t an overpowered, invincible hero. In fact, it’s quite the contrary here. Natsuko’s magic is very reliant on her imagination and creativity in order to work. So if she hits an artist’s block, then her power effectively stops working. This makes artist’s block pretty lethal for her, and makes her new friends all the more valuable to her. Both to defend her, and to give her the inspiration she needs to overcome any artist’s block.
Which our old-new hero Justice supplies in spades…and wings. No spoilers here, but they’re now one of my favorite characters in this whole anime. Especially with Romi Park’s voice giving them an androgynous feel to their voice and personality, and they get quite a bit of character development in this episode. Really, they’re giving me strong Susie vibes, and fans of Deltarune will know who I mean by that.
Oh, and with the same quality animation from MAPPA to boot. Natsuko’s hand-drawn sketches littering the highly detailed environments is just an aesthetic that I’m really enjoying. Their animation team is really doing a great job making the anime look amazing, including this episode.
Zenshu Ep. 6 “CHANGE”: The Bad

Alas, this episode is, again, a pretty good example of a show that gives you a good mix of fluff and action, with a good dose of the former going into the planning stages of Zenshu Ep. 6 “CHANGE”. If you only like action and nothing but though, then this episode might seem slightly unsatisfying to you. In that case, you might want to check out Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Solo Leveling, Kaiju No. 8, DDDD, DAN DA DAN, and/or Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online II. Those anime should have more than enough action to satisfy your inner action junkie.
Tune back in to THS to find out more about Zenshu and other anime when we do.
