Daredevil: Born Again is showing off Matt Murdock’s new suit and teasing more violence. Empire Magazine interviewed showrunner Dario Scardapane about the MCU series. Daredevil: Born Again is going a step further than the Netflix show ever did. Or, at least that’s what the showrunner wants everyone to know before things get rolling on March 6. Check out what Scardapane had to say right here.
“The level of violence is way up there for a Marvel/Disney show,” the showrunner began. “I don’t think there’s anything else even in the ballpark. There’s a moment in this that is just absolutely batshit, and way past anything Netflix ever did.”
Vincent D’Onofrio was more than willing to co-sign all of this. “There’s a world in which you might think that if that show kept running, we’d be in this place eventually, or something like it,” the Kingpin actor added. “But we’ve gone further in the darkness, the action, the nastiness.”

Daredevil: Born Again’s showrunner isn’t the only one who’s excited. Brad Winderbaum is Marvel Television’s head of streaming. He talked to the Phase Hero podcast about his excitement for bringing these characters to Disney+. The Daredevil reboot is going to be a pretty big step for the MCU as a whole.
“It all comes at a cost,” Winderbaum says of the violence to come. “It is one of the most violent things we’ve put on screen, but it’s in service of a greater tragedy that is really compelling.”
“I’m so excited for that show. I actually don’t think the audience is ready for this show,” the producer added. “It goes really deep into these characters. I loved the original show, and that cast is unbelievable. I remember having conversations with Kevin when the original series was cast. If we were making a movie about Daredevil, that would be the cast.”
