A Simple Favor is the 2018 mystery thriller film directed by Paul Feig. It is also based on the 2017 novel by Darcey Bell. The film stars Anna Kendrick (Woman of the Hour) as Stephanie Smothers. Stephanie is a mommy vlogger entangled in a web of mystery and intrigue after her glamorous and enigmatic friend, Emily Nelson (Blake Lively), goes missing.

As the story unfolds, Stephanie tries to uncover the truth about Emily’s disappearance. However, this leads her to discover dark secrets about Emily’s life and relationships. While the film is shrouded in mystery it’s also hilarious. What else would you expect from an Anna Kenrick project? The movie also stars Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians) and Andrew Rannells (The Boys in the Band) in supporting roles.
