Netflix‘s upcoming animation adaptation of Devil May Cry proves that the Capcom video game franchise is very far from dead. If anything, it proves that Dante has given it new life, especially in recent times. The success of Devil May Cry 5 back in 2019 may have even contributed to Adi Shankar (Castlevania, The Guardians of Justice, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix) choosing to showrun this latest animated series. With the famed Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra, Voltron: Legendary Defender, Dota: Dragon’s Blood) animating, of course.

With the franchise’s fame and the fame of those big names, it’s no wonder why Netflix wants to promote this Devil May Cry animated series so badly. So badly that Netflix has just dropped the entire opening sequence for their upcoming animated series. Complete with the theme song to boot. Don’t believe me? Then why not watch that opening below, and see for yourself if it gets your blood pumping for Dante to finally make his streaming debut?

Netflix’s Devil May Cry: Opening Credits Details

Complete with Dante’s signature pizza.

Netflix is proud to hype up their upcoming Devil May Cry animated series with the full opening credits sequence on YouTube. Said opening credits teases quite a bit of the story. From bloody action involving demons to ridiculous amounts of pizza (Dante’s trademark favorite food), it’s pretty clear that Netflix wants this series to be true to the video game series. Or at least, as true as they can get without being the video games themselves. Capcom are already working on that…hopefully.

Ah, but that’s not all though. The opening credits also reveals when we’re going to see this animated series. At the very end, it reveals that Devil May Cry will make its debut on April 3, 2025. As you might expect, this will be a Netflix exclusive, so you can watch it only on the streaming platform.
