In the past few weeks, a number of devastating fires have impacted communities in Los Angeles. To support those impacted by the fires, MultiCon will act as a Wildfire Benefit event for the United Way of Greater Los Angeles.
A number of celebrities will donate their time to appear at the convention; fans will be able to make a donation for meet and greets, autographs, and photos, with all contributions going to United Way. In addition, complimentary tickets, autographs, and pictures will be provided to first responders and those displaced by the wildfires.
The first batch of celebrity guests includes Kevin Smith, David Dastmalchian, Seth Green, Rob Liefeld, Jackie Tohn, Daniel Logan, Yuri Lowenthal, Tara Platt, Isaac Robinson Smith, Monique Coleman, and Kaycee Stroh. MultiCon plans to also announce more guests as they become available.
Throughout the day, MultiCon attendees can attend exclusive panels with celebrity talent. Many media personalities will also volunteer their services to host discussions during the con, including Greg Alba (Reel Rejects), Coy Jandreau (DC Official Podcast/Reel Rejects), Perri Nemiroff (Collider), Katcy Stephan (Variety), Juju Green aka Straw Hat Goofy, Erik “DoA” Lonnquist, and Ben Watts (IGN).
“Los Angeles is the greatest city in the world, and our resilience knows no bounds. As we recover and rebuild, we will do so through the power of community, imagination, and storytelling. MultiCon unites the best of Hollywood and is a reminder that we’re more than just an industry; we’re a community of working-class dreamers and doers who care for one another and will roll up their sleeves when our neighbors need help,” said Michael Tessler, CEO of Multihouse and the event’s producer.
In-person MultiCon attendees as well as remote fans can also access a silent auction. Items donated by celebrities and partner brands include Papa Roach concert tickets, items signed by Conan O’Brien, and more.
The event will conclude with a “Nerd Dance Party” hosted by Dimi with special guest performances and fun surprises. The dance party will also live stream on Twitch and YouTube for virtual fans.
“Everyone knows someone whose life was turned upside down from the wildfires. We have planned this event with Multihouse to not only raise funds to help those in need but to also provide an opportunity for people to start the healing process. The Preserve LA with its 6,500 plants and trees seemed to be the perfect place where we can all come together to start the healing process,” said Larry Bond, Chairman of Bond Companies and the developer of The Preserve LA.

“We couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to partner with Bond Companies and Multihouse for this event. Now more than ever, our work at United Way of Greater Los Angeles is critical – this recovery will take years, but we want our community to know we’ll be with them every step of the way,” said Elise Buik, CEO of United Way of Greater Los Angeles.
