The Last of Us is quite famous for many, many reasons. It’s not just that it’s a critically acclaimed series of action-adventure and survival horror games by Naughty Dog (Jak and Daxter, Uncharted) anymore. It has grown far past that now with the success of the HBO live-action series. Just a single nine-episode long season was enough to turn it into one of the most successful film/TV adaptations of a video game in existence, if not THE most successful.
Thus, it perfectly explains why HBO has renewed The Last of Us for a long-awaited second season. It also explains why they’re planning to celebrate that news with something special. What is it, you might ask? Well, it’s them suggesting that you can catch up on the first season by watching it on home video. A home video that doesn’t currently exist yet…but it will soon.
