Will Horizon Chapter 2 Be Released Soon?
It is still unclear when general audiences will get to see Horizon: Chapter 2. The film was first screened on September 7, 2024, at the Venice Film Festival. The US premiere 5-months later at the SBIFF appears to be another step in the right direction. However, whether it will receive a wide theatrical release, a limited run, or go straight to digital remains uncertain. Its recent release on Netflix, where it made its way into the Top 10, is also an encouraging sign for the film. While Kevin Costner has always envisioned the Horizon films as theatrical experiences, the lukewarm performance of Chapter 1 might force a reevaluation of that plan.
