Romance isn’t dead — and neither is the holiday-themed slasher. Recent years have brought horror fans not just Halloween-centered blood and guts, but gory delights for Thanksgiving and Christmas, too. Now, Sony continues to keep the holiday horror tradition alive. In the new movie Heart Eyes, a killer stalks couples on Valentine’s Day.

Sony Pictures released the first full trailer for the film today. Check it out below.

Here’s the official synopsis of the film:

For the past several years, the “Heart Eyes Killer” has wreaked havoc on Valentine’s Day by stalking and murdering romantic couples. This Valentine’s Day, no couple is safe…

Heart Eyes comes from director Josh Ruben, who previously made a splash with horror-comedy Werewolves Within. Phillip Murphy, Christopher Landon, and Michael Kennedy wrote the film.

“My love of horror is rivaled only by my love of romantic comedies. I’m excited as hell to mount my most challenging genre bender to date: a brutal slasher in a nostalgic rom-com universe,” Ruben previously said of the film.
