Atomfall is an upcoming new survival game developed and published entirely by Rebellion Developments: a British video game company. You can already tell that they’re a British company based on the fact that the plot of the game centers around the 1957 Windscale fire. It’s very little known outside of the UK. Even within the UK, relatively few people know about it despite it being the worst nuclear disaster in the country, and one of the worst in the world period. It was practically the UK’s very own Chernobyl in how bad the disaster was.

Thus, it makes for the perfect plot for a British Fallout-esque video game. A game that seems to be a more horror-focused game than Bethesda Game Studios’ franchise is. Don’t believe me? Then why not check out the latest trailer for Atomfall below, and see for yourself if this is the nuclear postapocalyptic game for you?

Atomfall: Official Release Date Trailer Details

Who here also gets the Doctor Who reference? Anyone?

Rebellion Developments is proud to announce the official release date trailer for their upcoming action survival video game Atomfall on YouTube. Said trailer…definitely features horror as the primary theme. If the creepy singing voice doesn’t clue you in, then the creepy masked guy will. All with a Doctor Who reference in the form of the red telephone booth. Fans of that sci-fi series will note that horror is definitely one of the biggest themes in Doctor Who. Thus, it makes it perfect for this game.

And as you might imagine: this trailer also tells us exactly when we’re going to get to play this video game. Atomfall will make its debut on March 27, 2025. The game will release on PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PS4 and PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
