“Drive Back” is a new horror film from Dark Sky Films. It’s a psychological thriller that explores the fears of dealing with unresolved issues that can sometimes haunt you for as long as you let it. Making yourself your biggest enemy. In this film, Reid and Olivia need to resolve personal baggage before they are caught by a violent killer.

A CHAT WITH THE DIRECTOR

With the release of “Drive Back”, I spoke with director, Cody Ashford about the film at a special screening in Fresno. Ashford is a teacher in Madera, also in the Central Valley, and filmed this horror film in Fresno, Clovis, Shaver Lake, and Bass Lake. Comic artist, Reid and his pregnant fiancée, Olivia celebrate their new engagement at a remote cabin. But after a near car accident leaves them lost in the woods, they find themselves trapped on a hidden shortcut. Facing violent visions, lost memories, and a troubled hitchhiker, they discover a terrifying killer is hunting them and that the shortcut is darker and more personal than they realized.
