DAN DA DAN Ep. 6 “A Dangerous Woman Arrives” has a bit of a bait and switch plot going on. All revolving around the supposed antagonist of this episode. There’s quite a bit of foreshadowing around it though, so you can already guess who the true antagonist is going to be even before the switch. Oh well, at least we get a great fight scene with that reveal.

DAN DA DAN Ep. 6 “A Dangerous Woman Arrives”: Synopsis

Given what happens to him in this episode, he has a reason to look shocked.

Alas, DAN DA DAN only recently made its debut. In fact, DAN DA DAN Ep. 6 “A Dangerous Woman Arrives” only just made its debut today as of this writing. Thus, here’s the official synopsis from Crunchyroll instead of a spoiler-filled plot summary. You can check out that synopsis below:

Momo, Okarun, and Turbo Granny search for the missing golden ball. They search all over the school and find out that a pretty girl named Aira is in possession of a ball. Perhaps the effects of the ball, but Aira can now see “invisible things” now.

Momo certainly doesn’t think so, given all the annoyances she has to deal with in this episode.

It’s a tough call here in DAN DA DAN Ep. 6 “A Dangerous Woman Arrives” about whether the story or the animation is better. If I had to pick…it’s probably the story that edges out. Mostly due to the characters in this episode, including the developing the relationship between Momo and Okarun. However, the introduction of Aira is also quite fascinating, since despite her outward appearance and personality, she turns out to be one of the more…fascinating characters. No spoilers, but she definitely suffers from the classical chuunibyo syndrome, complete with the stereotypical delusions of grandeur. As it turns out, mangaka Yukinobu Tatsu is great at writing comedy as much as he is at writing supernatural horror and action.

Oh, but we must not forget about the animation that complements that story. Science SARU continue to be really good about that animation quality. This is especially true of the action sequences, which feature some very high quality and fluid action. It’s nearly on the level of Solo Leveling, really. Combined with the supernatural horror, and this is turning out to be an anime that’s both engaging and a treat to watch.

DAN DA DAN Ep. 6 “A Dangerous Woman Arrives”: The Bad

This creature is somehow both horrific and hilarious at the same time.

Alas, there’s one aspect of the action in DAN DA DAN Ep. 6 “A Dangerous Woman Arrives” that might put off the really hardcore action junkies. That would be the utter lack of blood in those action sequences. All in spite of the violence of their actions. We literally watch people being slammed into I-beams and through concrete pillars, and yet the most we see seems to be dirt marks on their skin and clothing. That’s not quite what would realistically happen, but I’ll give it a pass due to this anime probably not wanting to get a higher age rating than it already has.

However, if you want bloody action, then might I suggest watching Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no YaibaSolo LevelingKaiju No. 8, and/or DDDD? Those anime should have more than enough bloody action to satisfy any action junkie.
