Sony has dated the upcoming Spider-Man 4 for July 26th, 2026. The movie is set to debut just two months after Avengers: Doomsday. Destin Daniel Cretton is locked in as director for the project that stars Tom Holland. Holland confirmed on The Tonight Show that the film goes into production in mid-2025. Holland was also recently in the news for another July 2026 movie that he’s starring in from Christopher Nolan.

The new Spider-Man 4 stars Tom Holland and is a co-production between Sony and Marvel. The Tom Holland Spider-Man movies have been among the most profitable and storied for both Marvel and Sony. Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers are writing the script. Marvel leader Kevin Feige and former Sony head Amy Pascal are producing the film.

Sources say that Spider-Man 4 is going full-steam ahead, shooting early next year. It follows up the massively popular and successful Spider-Man: No Way Home. That film saw the entire world forget that Peter Parker was Spider-Man, including those who are closest to him like MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon).

Cretton was previously picked to direct Avengers: The Kang Dynasty before that film underwent massive changes and turned into Avengers: Doomsday. He also worked on the upcoming Disney+ series for Marvel, Wonder Man. That series is in post-production and stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as a stuntman that gets superpowers. He is also attached to direct a live-action version of Naruto and a sequel to Shang-Chi.
