Writer-director Kevin Smith presents his most intimate film with a coming-of-age tale set in the summer of 1986. The 4:30 Movie follows three sixteen-year-old friends, Brian (Austin Sajur), Belly (Reed Northrup), and Burny (Nicholas Cirillo). The trio spend their Saturdays sneaking into movies at the local Cineplex. Chaos ensues when one of the boys invites his crush to watch an R-rated film. So, this moment leads to comedic mishaps involving a pompous theater manager (Ken Jeong) and teenage rivalries.

I had a chance to sit down with the film stars to discuss working with Kevin Smith, and the chaos you can get into while filming a movie in New Jersey.

MORE ABOUT THE FILM

Official Synopsis:

Writer-director Kevin Smith presents his most personal film to date with this coming-of-age story — set in the summer of 1986 — that follows three sixteen-year-old friends who spend their Saturdays sneaking into movies at the local cineplex.
