We are now at the end of the Tomorrowverse story arc with the release of Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part Three. Starring Jensen Ackles, Darren Criss, Meg Donnelly, and Stana Katic; this animated film continues the trilogy that is based on DC’s ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez. Thanks to our friends over at DC and Warner Bros. I was given a copy of this film to review.

My Final Thought -Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths Trilogy

Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part Three marks the conclusion of the trilogy series and the Tomorrowverse story arc, and that just may be a good thing. This three-part series based on the ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez fell short of what you would expect from a DC comic adaptation. One of the biggest downfalls of this series was the pace of the story. This started in part one and continued in Part Two, everything was just slow, and at times it was just plain boring.

The third installment did improve on this some, as it was more action-packed than the first two. Overall it felt like a lot of the important key moments from the comic series were rushed by to focus on other stories that didn’t add much to the story. You will see what I mean by Supergirl’s story. All of this just leaves you underwhelmed and wanting to read the comics instead.

Now not all of it was bad. Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earth did give fans a huge emotional moment when Kevin Conroy’s Batman, fought the Joker (Mark Hamill) while the Earth ended around him. This final performance from Conroy will bring a tear or two to your eyes as the scene unfolds. Also like I said earlier, Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part Three is more action-packed than the first two, so that is a big plus in my book. Another strength of this trilogy is that it is driven by relationships between superheroes and is put together well by James Krieg. This makes this series not a complete wash for DC fans, as you grow emotionally attached to some of your favorite characters.

So, if you like to see a bunch of DC Superheroes from different universes and like the ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ story then you will want to check this trilogy out. But again I will warn you if you were looking for it to follow the ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ you might be disappointed.
