The NA theatrical debut of SPY x FAMILY CODE: White was a pretty major success story when it took place on April 19, 2024. After all, this anime film from WIT STUDIO (Attack on Titan (Seasons 1-3); VINLAND SAGA; Ranking of Kings) and CloverWorks (Horimiya; WIND BREAKER; The Elusive Samurai), directed by Takashi Katagiri, written by Ichiro Okouchi (Sing a Bit of Harmony; Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury), and based off of the SPY X FAMILY manga by Tatsuya Endo (TISTA, Blade of the Moon Princess) grossed $4.9 million USD on its opening weekend, placing fifth overall among all the films debuting that weekend. Not only that, but it received rave reviews from both critics and audiences alike. 94% of critics on Rotten Tomatoes gave the anime film a positive review over 33 reviews, with 98% of audiences giving the same over 250+ ratings.
