Netflix unveils a new music competition series titled Building the Band. There is a wide array of music competitions available today, ranging from iconic shows like “American Idol,” “The X Factor,” and “The Voice.” Each of these platforms provides aspiring artists with the opportunity to showcase their abilities as well as connect with a broader audience. One notable achievement in the realm of group formation comes from Nicole Scherzinger. She played a pivotal role in crafting One Direction from the contestants of “The X Factor UK.” They went on to achieve monumental success.

However, since the days of “Making the Band,” which introduced us to successful groups like O-Town and Danity Kane, there hasn’t been a dedicated platform focused exclusively on creating musical groups. Until now!

WHAT IS BUILDING THE BAND?

So, hosting the new Building the Band series is Backstreet Boys, AJ McLean! Then, Nicole Scherzinger, from The Pussycat Dolls, will take on the role of mentor and judge. She will also be joined on the judging panel by music industry veterans Liam Payne of One Direction and Kelly Rowland from Destiny’s Child. Each of them is bringing their unique expertise and personal insights from their experiences in the band scene.
