“The Simpsons” have been around now for 35 years! At this weekend’s D23 we learned that its not going anywhere anytime soon! During the event in Anaheim, California, Disney announced that season 35 of “The Simpsons” will launch on October 2 on Disney+. The multi-award winning animated comedy is returning to Springfield for 18 more episodes.

During “The Simpsons” panel, Matt Groening, Matt Selman, Al Jean, Mike Price, Brian Kelley, David Silverman, and Nancy Cartwright, shared that four never-before-seen episodes will be released exclusively in Disney+. One of those is a Christmas-themed double episode to be released also on the streaming service on December 17. This coincides with the 35th anniversary of the series’ first Christmas special.

“The Past and the Furious”

“Yellow Planet”

“O C’mon All Ye Faithful” (double episode)

Along with some Christmas cheer, this October, “The Simpsons” will release a new Halloween-themed short on Disney+.

Speaking of Disney’s streaming service, fans of the animated series can find all 35 seasons of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie there. You can also find “The Simpsons Movie” there as well as ten shorts featuring the beloved family.
