Multiplayer Overview

Bait (launch): Catch some rays in the Sunshine State on the mid-sized Bait. Battle amongst tiki huts and take a swim in the pool or remain dockside watching for enemy movement near interior spaces like the Restaurant, Boat House, and Bait Shop. The map’s twisting layout provides endless tactical opportunities for every playstyle.

Yard (launch): Crush your enemies in a dusty junkyard out in the Sonoran Desert. The small cel-shaded map twists around the base of the central Crane, surrounded by dirt pathways, containers, and discarded components. The eastern Garage offers a tight flanking path down the map, but most of the fighting takes place in the open.

New Variants: Deploy to a cel-shaded version of Shipment where multi-colored containers and the bright blue sea add vibrancy to the intensely chaotic map. Animations take on a new life, too, the bright sun shining a light on every little detail.

It’s dusk on Rust with a full moon overhead. As another cel-shaded map variant, the fan-favorite location takes on a whole new vibe. The threat — and opportunities — presented by the central Tower, however, remain ever at the heart of this classic battleground.

Return to Palo Alto as Stash House gets the cel-shaded treatment with a stress on bold black outlines lending the map an inked look. Enjoy the details in the heightened contrast while fighting for every inch around the iconic house.

Slam Deathmatch and other new modes

Slam Deathmatch (in-season): Wrestle up your finest Finishing Moves in this spin on traditional Team Deathmatch. It’s still all about eliminations in Slam Deathmatch, but in this Mode weapons can only down your enemies. To earn points, you must finish off opponents by hitting them with a Finishing Move. All Finishing Moves will be randomized WWE Finishing Moves in upcoming Slam Deathmatch brawls, and the Mode will only be available during the WWE SummerSlam event, starting on July 31.

COD Warrior (launch):

Mini-games, anyone? COD Warrior is a new Mode that puts three teams of two to the test in a series of randomized quickfire mini-games. Every round wins one point, and the first team to reach five points takes the game.

Be prepared for mini-game mayhem! Round timers for mini-games will range from 30 to 90 seconds, and all mini-games will be weapon-based and give Operators one life, with no respawn.

Arcade Playlist (in-season):

Power up with the return of Arcade, featuring two new strategic abilities and several exciting new power weapons. In addition, all Arcade players will benefit from increased jump height and the ability to slam (non-damaging) to quickly return to the ground.

Abilities: Two new abilities arrive with Arcade this season. Players can Ground Slam, doling out damage in an area of effect upon landing from a jump. If successfully completed within range of an enemy, the blow can be lethal. Forcefield is a defense ability, creating a big transparent bubble around the player that defends against incoming bullets. As the Forcefield absorbs more damage, it will eventually be destroyed.

Weapons: Deliver the pain with five new power weapons, each with a unique effect:

  • Sledgehammer Melee: Increased knockback ability
  • Minigun: Battle Rage ability
  • MORS Sniper Rifle: Explosive knockback effect
  • TYR Pistol: Akimbo Snakeshot Dragon’s Breath
  • Push Dagger Melee: Big lunge ability

Zombies overview

The final story mission (mid-season)

Operation Deadbolt must face the ultimate challenge in confronting the Entity in a terrifying new section of the Dark Aether. Use Aetherium launch pads to soar through the environment and keep away from the dangerous hordes of undead lurking on the ground. Prepare to abandon all hope as you make your way towards the climatic conclusion and the final boss.

New Dark Aether Rift, Schematics (mid-season)

Stay alert for clues and work with the community to discover the path towards a lucrative and lethal Season 5 Reloaded Dark Aether Rift. This perilous challenge offers players a fresh way to experience the Dark Aether and awards the opportunity to earn powerful rewards, including permanent unlocks.

Disciple Bottle: Spawn a friendly Disciple to wreak havoc against your foes.

Grenade Bandolier: Replenish your Lethal and Tactical Equipment over time, allowing you to regularly bombard enemies.

Stash Increase: Increase your stash size to 30.

Call of Duty: Warzone overview

Superstore POI (launch)

Welcome to the Atlas Superstore, inspired by the original Superstore in Verdansk, and home to all your Call of Duty: Warzone shopping needs. Whether it be a rare weapon, a new perk set, a fresh set of armor plates, or some other coveted item, the Superstore has what you need to secure the win. Stay tuned to your surroundings as other squads are bound to heed the same shopping impulse.

Just south of the Orlov Military Base, Superstore is located in the upper central-eastern side of Urzikstan. Landing on the large roof from the plane or via redeploy is the quickest way to get into the Superstore. It’s a large two-story building with a good amount of cover via the skylights and air A/C units, but your goal should be to get inside as quickly as possible.

From the roof there are four different entry points, so find them and get through as soon as you can. You can also enter from Al-Sada Village via a zipline. However, from the ground there are more than 10 different entrances, so there’s always another way in nearby.

Once inside, if you’ve used any of the main entrances, you may have a moment of peace as you loot because of how large the Superstore really is. It feels even larger due to the many aisles and staff and storage rooms there are that make up the Superstore. Check every corner and keep your head up as you venture through the building because enemy players can be hiding in one of many locations built into this incredible POI.

Entering from the ground floor, you’re positioned in one of the corners which can be used as cover to protect your squad’s six, but also to breach and clear one quadrant at a time. Entering from the second floor, you’ll encounter an office or break room that overlooks a portion of the main floor. Use these angles to call a cleanup on aisle 4 while you loot to your heart’s content.

New modes, features, and public events

Supreme Resurgence (mid-season): Break in the new Superstore POI with a dedicated Resurgence mode. This is a custom-made experience focusing on the Superstore POI, dropping 28 players into a ten-minute match with the emphasis on who can control the roof and aisles and other chokepoints throughout the location. Compact combat, vicious firefights, and rapid pacing make this an instantly satisfying mode you can drop into again and again. This is also the perfect training ground to explore the classic area whether you’ve battled across these aisles before or it’s your first time browsing.

Bounty Contest (launch): When this public event activates in Resurgence, every squad is given a Bounty Contract. Survive the target on your back and earn cash for every completed bounty.

Redeploy Drone (launch): Redeploy on your own terms with the portable R.D.B. Field Upgrade. Throw out a line for the whole squad and reposition fast.

Elite Contracts (mid-season): Seek out Elite Contracts to earn bonus rewards including an elite cache providing one of the following: the Foresight Killstreak, multiple Redacted Weapons, Specialist Perk Package, or an Advanced UAV.

Recon Flyover (mid-season): In two waves, a squadron of Advanced UAVs highlight scanned Operators as red player arrows on the map. Prepare for imminent battle.
