It’s time to celebrate the holidays in July with the teaser trailer of Lionsgate’s upcoming movie, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever! The film is Directed by The Chosen creator, Dallas Jenkins. The script is adapted by Darin McDaniel, Platte Clark, Ryan Swanson, as well as Dallas Jenkins from Barbara Robinson’s original book.

In the book, the story revolves around six misfit siblings – the Herman. Imogene, Ralph, Claude, Leroy, Ollie, and Gladys are infamous for their unruly and unconventional antics. The kids are smoking cigars, using foul language, consuming jug wine, and engaging in shoplifting. With their father absent since their infancy and their mother working tirelessly to support them, the Herdmans have never faced discipline. Despite their disruptive behavior, they manage to progress through elementary school, as retaining any one of them would result in multiple siblings being in the same grade.

As the story progresses, the children volunteer for roles in their town’s Sunday school Christmas pageant. In the end, they ultimately enlighten the community about the true meaning of the Holiday.
