Speaking with someone who means a lot to me and my life is a rare day. However, this time I got to talk to Lenore Zann who voices my favorite character of all time, Rogue of the X-Men.

Ever since I first watched the X-Men Animated Series on that first Saturday morning, my fascination with Rogue began. She was the first female character I truly connected with—strong, complex, independent, confident, everything I aspired to be and more. Thank you, Lenore Zann, for your outstanding portrayal of this remarkable woman. Your performance brought her to life in a way that has influenced who I am today in more ways than you’ll ever know.

MORE ABOUT LENORE ZANN

Zann has a versatile career as an actress, working across various mediums including screen, television, stage, and voice acting. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Rogue in X-Men: The Animated Series (1992-1997) and also lent her voice to related video games such as X-Men vs. Street Fighter (1996), Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes (1998), and Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes (2000). Then, Zann returned to reprise her role in X-Men ’97, a revival of The Animated Series on Disney+.

X-Men ’97 picks up where X-Men: The Animated Series (1992–1997) left off, continuing the narrative of mutants. The X-Men, a group of mutant superheroes established by Professor Charles Xavier, strive to safeguard both mutants and humans. Following the conclusion of The Animated Series, Xavier survives an assassination attempt but requires healing in space by the Shi’ar Empire. X-Men ’97 commences a year later, depicting the team confronting fresh obstacles in Xavier’s absence, now led by their former foe Magneto. Similar to its predecessor, X-Men ’97 blends action with the exploration of weighty themes.
