Prepare for a delectably satirical delight with Willy’s Candy Spectacular: A Musical Parody. Produced by Richard Kraft, this musical showcases a talented lineup of songwriters such as Riki Lindhome, Alan Zachary, Michael Weiner, Tova Litvin, Doug Rockwell, and Daniel Mertzlufft.

But wait, what is this new musical about?

There was an event inspired by Willy Wonka that was advertised in Scotland. It looked to be a fun, Instagram-able popup for fans as well as influencers alike. The Willy Wonka event was priced at $45 per person and marketed as an immersive walk-through. The event promised to transport attendees into the world of Willy Wonka’s factory.

The promotional images showcased vibrant lighting and intricate designs reminiscent of a theme park. However, it was later revealed that these visuals were generated by artificial intelligence. Upon arrival, parents and children discovered an empty warehouse with minimal props and lacking the immersive experience that was advertised.

So, what was supposed to be a journey into a world of pure imagination, turned out to be a nightmare. But what do they say? One man’s nightmare is another man’s dream.

Now, on June 3rd at 8 am PST, the first 3 demo tracks of this highly anticipated musical comedy will debut! You can find them on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and at willyscandyspectacular.com.

So, WHAT ARE THE FIRST THREE TRACKS FOR Willy’s Candy Spectacular: A Musical Parody

Willy's Candy Spectacular

“Willy’s Candy Spectacular” – Actor John Stamos (Big Shot) delivers a post-apocalyptic opening number that chronicles the collapse of civilization to the catastrophic incident in Glasgow. Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner craft this captivating track. The two are renowned for their contributions to Broadway’s “First Date” and ABC’s “Once Upon a Time.”

“We love musicals with epic opening numbers. And we thought — what could be more epic than John Stamos singing about the end of humanity and linking our species’ demise to an underwhelming immersive experience in Scotland?”

Songwriters Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner

“Dreamed to Dare,” written by Daniel Mertzlufft, creator of the viral TikTok musical “Ratatouille the Musical“. The song showcases TikTok singing sensations The Sharpe Family Singers. It also showcases Kirsty Paterson, the Oompa Loompa actress from the viral Wonka Experience in Glasgow. Paterson portrays a character inspired by her encounters, as attendees gear up to step into a world of dreams (or nightmares?).

“Not many shows have such high stakes and absurd characters that we deserve a bombastic anticipatory ensemble number – but with a plot like this I couldn’t resist!”

exclaims Daniel Mertzlufft.

“Where Dreams Go To Fly” is a heartening song penned by Emmy-award recipients Doug Rockwell and Tova Litvin, embodying the boundless optimism of the visionary behind Willy’s Candy Spectacular. Their notable repertoire includes compositions for “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” and Julie & The Phantoms.”

“There’s such a fine line between soaring optimism and crushing defeat. In our song, we’ve tried to capture the range of emotions one goes through when creating art, even when that art is mind- numbingly awful,”

Doug Rockwell and Tova Litvin.
