For many Mario fans and even Nintendo fans in general, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is the best Paper Mario game in the series. It’s no surprise. Paper Mario was one of the best Nintendo games period, not least of which is because it was basically a successor to Super Mario RPG. All this 2004 sequel to Paper Mario (originally for Nintendo GameCube) did was improve on literally every aspect of the game.
With that in mind, it’s really no wonder that Nintendo are doing a remake of this game for the Nintendo Switch. Don’t believe me? Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Nintendo Switch Remake ~ Details
During MAR10 Day 2024, among other days, Nintendo posted a YouTube video revealing when we’re going to get to play Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. The Nintendo Switch remake of it, that is. At the very end of that video, they reveal that this remake will make its debut on May 23, 2024. As of this writing, that’s less than two months away. Thus, you won’t have to wait for very long before you can play one of the best Mario RPGs in the franchise.
Best of all though, you don’t have to wait to purchase it. If you really can’t wait for that day, then you can preorder Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door right now on the Nintendo eShop for $59.99. However, note that this is for the digital versions of this remake game only. If you want the physical copy, then you’ll have to wait for that release date.
