Christopher Nolan loves to keep his projects tightly under wraps. However, his latest project has begun production, and we finally get some leaked information. We now know a title and a few more actors involved.
This new film will be called Tenet. Further, it has been described as “an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage”. Perhaps this suggests that Christopher Nolan is making his first attempt to mimic the worlds of Bond and Mission Impossible.
Actors Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh join the already known cast of John David Washington, Robert Pattinson and Elizabeth Debicki. Caine and Branagh certainly add some real weight to the list of cast members.
Hans Zimmer also exited the movie as composer. Contrarily, Ludwig Goransson replaces Hans. You will know him from the Black Panther and Creed franchises. He will also score the forthcoming Mandalorian on Disney+. We know little else about the project.
Christopher Nolan Is Digging For Meaning
The title gives us some fascinating insight into the movie as Christopher Nolan’s titles usually do have a deeper meaning. Tenet – a principle or belief, especially one of the main principles of a religion or philosophy. Does this imply the espionage in question will have some deeper meaning or struggle from a fundamental belief system?
Christopher Nolan always puts deep meaning into his movies and often has a fundamental twist that either changes the meaning of the movie, or adds to it on some deeper level. Tenet releases in theaters July 17, 2020.
