I’m in Love with the Villainess contains many genres. It’s an isekai anime, as well as a romantic comedy story. However, it’s also very clearly a yuri anime, since the female main character is interested in no one but the titular villainess. That, and the new yuri-filled trailer should clue you in on the yuri parts of the anime. What new trailer, you might ask? Well, the new official trailer that just dropped. You can check out said trailer below, and see all the yuri romcom for yourself.
I’m in Love with the Villainess Official Trailer 2: Details
Crunchyroll is proud to reveal this second official trailer for I’m in Love with the Villainess on YouTube. As you might expect, said trailer shows off so much yuri. In fact, it even shows that the female main character Rei Oohashi (voiced by Yu Serizawa) apparently loved her dating sim game so much, that it apparently invited her into it to become the game’s protagonist: Rae Taylor. SaId game is an otome game, so the player has a choice of 3 different hot guys to pick from as romance options.
However, Rei/Rae has absolutely no interest in any of them. As you can tell by the title, she only has the hots for the villainess: Claire François (voiced by Karin Nanami). Despite the fact that Claire is actively trying to bully Rei/Rae, no less. Every act of bullying just seems to make Rei/Rae more and more attracted to her in a hilariously over the top fashion. Honestly, this seems like the perfect romcom anime for all us yuri fans.
Even better, this new official trailer gives us a date to look forward to. The end of the trailer reveals that I’m in Love with the Villainess will make its debut on October 2, 2023. That’s less than 2 months away as of this writing, so it’s not that long a wait to see more yuri.
