South Park is coming, in 3D. The latest in a line of incredible South Park RPG games like The Stick Of Truth and The Fractured…But Whole, is South Park: Snow Day. The new game from THQ Nordic brings the series to the realm of 3D action. Check out the trailer below.
An all-new South Park game is coming… in 3D. Join Cartman, Stan, Kyle and Kenny, in three-dimensional glory, to celebrate the most magical day in any young child’s life – a snow day! Grab up to three friends and battle your way through the snow-piled streets of South Park on a quest to save the world and enjoy a day without school. SOUTH PARK: SNOW DAY! available in 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox X|S and Nintendo Switch.
The new game looks like it’ll be more action-oriented than the previous turn-based RPG games. The previous games have felt like episodes of the hit Comedy Central show come to life. They have full voice-acting from the cast members and are basically produced the same way that show episodes are. You can watch South Park on Comedy Central and on Paramount+. The previous games The Stick of Truth and The Fractured…But Whole are available on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch. This’ll be the first game released exclusively for current-gen consoles in the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
They’re among the best of a genre that doesn’t see too many releases these days. Especially in the West with such adult themes. If Snow Day is any indication, they’ll take aim at the conventions and stereotypes of the action RPG genre.
We’ll have to see how it turns out when 2024 rolls around.
