AEW’s Double or Nothing event is happening this Sunday live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

Going into this event, I think the best-positioned matches on the card have been the feuds between the Four Pillars of AEW ( MJF, Sammy, Darby, and Jack) along with the feud between The Elite and The BCC (Blackpool Combat Club). These two matches will be the most talked about once the event concludes. Here’s what I hope will be the outcomes of the matches for this Sunday.

Here’s the match card for this Sunday’s event.

Will the Hardy Party be at full strength this Sunday?

Trios Match: Ethan Page & The Gunns vs The Hardy Party (Isiah Kassidy, Matt and Jeff Hardy)

Prediction: This matchup will be the opener and a great way to start the show, everyone still loves the Hardys. In what should be a good opener I do see the Hardy Party coming away with the victory. Winner: The Hardy Party

Unsanctioned Match: Chris Jericho vs Adam Cole with Special Enforcer Sabu

Prediction: In a matchup on paper that should be the main event, the buildup has been somewhat lackluster, I do not know what went wrong, but something is missing. The added stipulation does give the odds to Jericho and the JAS, but here’s to hoping that AEW pulls the trigger and gives the victory to Adam Cole and projects him into the world title picture heading into the summer. Who knows maybe a returning Kyle O’Reilly will help the number advantage. Winner: Adam Cole

AEW TBS Championship match: Jade Cargill (c) vs Taya Valkyrie

Prediction: This is one of the tougher ones to call as Jade has done tremendous work with being the champion and entertaining. Is she due to finally drop the title? If so, is there anyone on the women’s roster not involved in the current Women’s World title picture that can dethrone Jade? If not, Taya is currently the best option, Veteran, workhorse, entertaining, and has the look. It would give this title fresh matchups. In my opinion, I still do not see a scenario where you have Jade lose and then be pushed to the World title. I think the best scenario for Jade is to lose this title in a multi-women match. Keeps her undefeated streak intact. Winner: Jade Cargill retains.

AEW International Championship: 21-Man Blackjack Battle Royale Match

Prediction: One of the many things AEW has excelled at is their bookings of these big battle royale matches. Look back at them, most if not all have been well timed, positioned, and entertaining. Of course, we would think this is the best time and place for Orange Cassidy to finally drop the title. He has been on one of the best championship runs in the company’s history. The favorites outside of Cassidy to win are more likely Jay White, Ricky Starks, Swerve Strickland, and/or Keith Lee. The question we ask here is, with all 4 of these men in feuds already, do any of those feuds need the title? Heck, we still haven’t had the pay-off singles match of Keith Lee vs Swerve Strickland. Winner: Orange Cassidy retains

AEW TNT Championship Ladder match: Wardlow (c) vs Christian Cage

Prediction: Christian does know what he is best at, which are championships and ladders. With the hot potato title changes this specific title has seen in recent months, I would not doubt there is an ending in which Christian does win. Wardlow was one of the hottest stars heading into last year’s event, now a champion. can he overcome someone who is arguably one of the best ladder match wrestlers of all time? Here, I do hope they give Wardlow a lengthy reign, and this is a great match to show just how gifted Wardlow could be in the ring. Winner: Wardlow retains.

AEW World Tag Team Championship match: FTR (c) vs Jay Lethal & Jeff Jarrett with Special Referee Mark Briscoe

Prediction: Are we in a time pocket? It is 2023 and here we are with Jeff Jarrett on the cusp of winning another championship. FTR is one of the top 3 tag teams in the world. Somehow, I feel like this match is beneath them and that is to not discredit Jay Lethal or Double J. If you had asked me after FTR won the titles that this was the match they would have at this event, I would have been shocked.

I had The Gunns penciled in this as their rematch. I do see Mark Briscoe being the main factor in this match as he is the Special Guest Referee. We can just hope they do not book FTR to look weak, especially heading into the next two big PPVs as both these men deserve to be regarded and presented as one of the best teams in wrestling today. Winners: FTR retains

AEW Women’s World Championship match: Jamie Hayter (c) vs Toni Storm

Prediction: Jamie Hayter has been a breath of fresh air as champion. She was the one everyone wanted to win since the title became vacant. Toni Storm has been doing some of her best work as part of the Outcasts trio. This match should definitely play a bigger role now that Toni has her own team guarding her back while in the first match, she was all by herself. With the news of Jamie being injured, we could see that being the breaking point for her to lose her championship.

Will Britt Baker be around or will she be involved in the match between Jericho and Cole? Internally, with the event in London, I wanted to see Jamie walk into the show as champion. However with the injury, the timing, and the involvement of Saraya and Ruby Soho, maybe we will see Jamie walk into All In London as the challenger, imagine the crowd reaction to her reclaiming the title in Wembley. I can. Winner: Toni Storm

Anarchy In The Arena match: The Elite vs Blackpool Combat Club

Prediction: How violent will this match turn out? If you remember last year’s match one of the now infamous images of the night was Eddie Kingston walking towards the run with a gas container ready to light Jericho on fire. Now, we have what could be the most violent group in wrestling history, the Blackpool Combat Club having the freedom to inflict any type of violent offense and pain on The Elite. I do not know what switched in Bryan Danielson‘s head to become this violent, he makes Moxley look tamed at times.

Now let’s not forget Hangman Adam Page has been in a few wars himself, hell, he and Moxley had what many have claimed to be one of the best hardcore matches in AEW history just back at Revolution. Kenny Omega was involved in countless wars with Moxley so he can match his intensity. While the Young Bucks have been in blood feuds with the Lucha Bros and others, here’s to them having their traditional Tacks superglued to their shoes. This is the most fleshed-out storyline and feud AEW has presented. My only worry is that this feud will not end here in this match, as I do believe at some point, this match ends in Blood and Guts. Winners: Blackpool Combat Club.

AEW World Championship match: MJF (c) vs Sammy Guevara vs Darby Allin vs Jungle Boy Jack Perry.

Prediction: While this feud has had its ups and downs, and certainly wasn’t booked the way I would have done it, I’m glad we’re getting this main event. This was bound to happen at some point, and for it to headline this event, that is awesome. MJF is currently above and beyond these other 3 men. Darby Allin will be the crowd favorite heading into the match however he is probably at the same odds of winning as is Jungle Boy Jack Perry. The only one likely to win but will not will be Sammy Guevara.

The only flaw I see is that I wanted this to be a 4-way elimination match so you could carve out new storylines for the competitors. MJF will not have his reign stopped here. He will most likely be the champion until 2024. He still has feuds with the likes of Adam Cole, Hangman, Omega, and Wardlow to keep his reign continuing. You also have to believe, MJF will do whatever it takes to outperform his instant classic from Revolution. Regardless, this match will do its best to steal the show which it has a good possibility to. In the end, the reign of terror for MJF is just getting started. Winner: MJF retains.
