Does anyone remember long hours watching Robotech back as a kid? Yeah, now we know as adults that Harmony Gold USA basically cut and pasted together 3 separate anime series together to make it. But even knowing that, I still feel this series deserves to stand on its own merits. Especially since it was actually the first time someone acknowledged that anime could have complex and dramatic plotlines. Fortunately, it looks like Titan Comics believes that as well. How else do you explain them having this anime series return in comic book form in the form of Robotech: Rick Hunter?
Robotech: Rick Hunter ~ The Nostalgic Details
Titan Comics is very proud to announce that they are bringing Robotech back for a new story in the form of Robotech: Rick Hunter. This will be a brand new comic that continues the story of the 1985 science fiction anime(?) franchise by Harmony Gold USA. Brandon Easton (Transformers, Kamen Rider Zero-One) is the writer for this new comic, with Simone Ragazzoni (Power Rangers) as the artist. InHyuk Lee is the artist for the main cover art. Meanwhile, Derrick Chew, Simone Ragazzoni, Josh Burcham, and Nahuel Grego are the artists for the various cover art.
As for what Robotech: Rick Hunter will be about? Well, don’t worry. Titan Comics is kind enough to provide us with an official synopsis as a teaser. You can check that out below:
