Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has just made its global debut today on May 5, 2023. As you might guess, Rotten Tomatoes quickly went to work on rating it, both critics and audiences alike. Surprisingly though, both parties have decided to give this latest and final entry in James Gunn’s sci-fi comedy superhero trilogy film series some pretty high scores.

According to Rotten Tomatoes: critics gave Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 a decently high rating of 80% over 245 reviews. Meanwhile, audiences had a far more enthusiastic response to this Marvel film. Over the course of over 1,000 verified ratings, audiences at last gave it an impressive score of 96%. Even knowing that the typical audience is pretty forgiving with their ratings and reviews, this is still a very high score for this finale to Guardians’ outer space adventures. While it didn’t quite beat the ratings for the first film, it definitely beat the second film in terms of reception scores. Thus, it’s quite the sendoff for the Guardians of the Galaxy’s big screen adventures.

Are you curious about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 now? Perhaps you want to watch it for yourself now to see if it’s as good as the scores say it is? Then you can watch this finale in theaters or on Disney+. Tune back in to THS later to find out more Marvel news when we get it.
