Based on the award-winning, as well as best-selling 2016 Sci-Fi novel by Naomi Alderman, The Power series is hitting Prime Video this March. The series’ central premise is women developing the ability to release electrical jolts from their fingers. So, this new ability leads them to become the dominant sex.

The Power is our world, but for one twist of nature. Suddenly, and without warning, teenage girls develop the power to electrocute people at will. So, the series features a cast of remarkable characters from London to Seattle, Nigeria to Eastern Europe, as the Power evolves from a tingle in teenagers’ collarbones to a complete reversal of the power balance of the world.

Starring in the new Prime Video series is Toni Collette (Hereditary) as Mayor Margot Cleary-Lopez and John Leguizamo (Violent Night) as Rob Lopez, as well as Auli’i Cravalho (Darby and the Dead) as Jos Cleary-Lopez. Then there’s Ted Lasso’s Toheeb Jimoh as Tunde Ojo. Josh Charles (The Good Wife) as Daniel Dandon, as well as Eddie Marsan (Vesper) as Bernie Monke. The global thriller from SISTER (Chernobyl) is based on British author Naomi Alderman’s award-winning novel and will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on Friday, March 31 with new episodes available each Friday, leading up to the season finale on May 12.
