Nobody was a surprise hit in 2021. The Bob Odenkirk-starring action flick from director Ilya Naishuller and writer Derek Kolstad was a revelation. According to Collider, producer Kelly McCormick has said that they plan on shooting the sequel starting in 2023. The first film starred Odenkirk as Hutch, a former hitman who now lives a dull suburban life. That life is shattered when a robbery goes wrong and his daughter’s bracelet is stolen; he goes off to find it. Something snaps inside him, and Hutch goes after the organization behind the crime.

Nobody

Nobody sells the mundane, suburban life very well, and Odenkirk as the everyman-turned-killer is fantastic. Nobody ends with Hutch and his family on the road to a new place. According to McCormick, they’re shooting next year.

“We hope to make it [Nodoby 2’s production] next year, so fingers crossed. So our theory is you don’t need to make a good sequel just to make a sequel. We need to make a great sequel. And so it’s about making sure that we get it right. And if we do, I think there’s a lot of hope that we can go next year.”

Nobody also starred Connie Nielsen, Christopher Lloyd, Michael Ironside, RZA, and Gage Munroe. As for details about Nobody 2, there are none. We can hope that as many cast members return as possible, but it likely wouldn’t happen without Bob Odenkirk.
