Harrison Ford pays his respects to his long time co-star, Peter Mayhew
This week, the world lost Peter Mayhew. Fans famously knew him as the man who brought Chewbacca to life. Celebrities, Star Wars cast and beyond, have been posting heartfelt tributes and memories all over social media. But, Harrison Ford, a man of few words publicly, may have provided the most moving comments to date. Here is some of what he said to the Hollywood Reporter.
Peter Mayhew was a kind and gentle man, possessed of great dignity and noble character. These aspects of his own personality, plus his wit and grace, he brought to Chewbacca. We were partners in film and friends in life for over 30 years and I loved him.

Since 1975, the famous Star Wars actors have been working together as the iconic duo. Beginning their adventure with production of the original Star Wars trilogy. Then, in 2014, they reunited for the production of episode 7, The Force Awakens. Maybe, there is some unseen footage that will soon resurface in an upcoming Star Wars project.
