Scream 6 is looking like it’s the horror event of next summer. While the film might not have Neve Campbell (at the moment), they’ve added newly minted horror queen Samara Weaving and actor Tony Revolori (Flash Thompson from the Spider-Man films). Our friends at Bloody Disgusting had the news. The directors of Scream and Scream 6 Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett both wanted Weaving for the previous film, but the scheduling didn’t line up. Now, the sequel will see Weaving join the likes of Hayden Panettiere, Courteney Cox, Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, and Dermot Mulroney.
The film’s synopsis goes like this:
The Scream saga continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.
Scream creator Kevin Williamson is on board as an executive producer. The movie should release in theaters worldwide on March 31st, 2023.
