The dinosaurs are here – quite literally. No longer confined to a theme park or even an island, Jurassic World Dominion sees the formidable creatures unleashed on the world at large.
Today, Universal revealed a new look at the final film in the Jurassic World trilogy. Check it out below:
The new trailer gives fans a much more in-depth look at the movie. We learn that Owen Grady’s favorite raptor Blue has somehow had a child. And that said child gets kidnapped – raptor-napped? – by a team of unknowns. That setup – combined with the whole “dinosaurs running rampant across the world” element – seems to offer a good idea of the plot for Jurassic World Dominion.
Also, this trailer offers us a better look at the return of some familiar faces. Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill, who starred in the original Jurassic Park, all reprise their roles for this movie. This clip really highlights their involvement in the story.
Jurassic World Dominion takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed. Dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures.
The film comes from director Colin Trevorrow. In addition to the returning trio from Jurassic Park, Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprise their roles in this feature. Also reprising their roles in Dominion are BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu, Justice Smith as Franklin Webb, Daniella Pineda as Dr. Zia Rodriguez and Omar Sy as Barry Sembenè. The film will also include DeWanda Wise, Mamoudou Athie, Dichen Lachman, Scott Haze, and Campbell Scott as new characters.
In addition to the trailer, Universal revealed an IMAX-exclusive poster today. Check it out below.
