The man could break glass with his voice. Gilbert Gottfried passed away from a long battle with an illness at the age of 67. His family announced this on his official Twitter account today.
Gilbert was a force in the comedic world, appearing on stage for decades and appearing in movies, TV, and anything else in entertainment. He’s most known for providing the voice of Iago in Disney’s Aladdin and a great performance in Beverly Hills Cop II. He also was a recurring member of the Comedy Central Roast series, and always gave scathing commentary and jokes to whoever was getting roasted. He’s survived by his family, two children, and a legion of fans. It’s a sad day when we lose such a great comic, but remember and always laugh at what joy they brought.
