As the wheel turns, Amazon is adding new cast members. Guy Roberts, Arnas Fedaravicius, and Gregg Chillingirian will join season 2 of The Wheel of Time.
The Prime Video series adapts Robert Jordan’s best-selling novels. Set in an epic fantasy world, in The Wheel of Time magic exists, but only certain women can use it. The show follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity.
In season 2, Roberts will play Uno Nomeshta, a gruff one-eyed soldier and tracker who serves Lord Agelmar. Roberts is the Founder and Artistic Director of Prague Shakespeare Company, the professional English-language theatre of the Czech Republic. He’s played some of the largest Shakespeare roles on stage, including Macbeth, Hamlet, and Richard III among others.
Fedaravicius will play Mesema, a quiet and intense warrior who serves Lord Agelmar. Fedaravicius is best known for his role in the Netflix historical fiction series, The Last Kingdom.
Chillingirian will play Ingtar Shinowa, a lord and soldier from war-ravaged lands. He recently appeared in the series A Discovery of Witches opposite Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer. He also played a role in Netflix’s The One, adapting John Marr’s critically acclaimed novel.
Prime Video is currently in the middle of airing the first season of The Wheel of Time. The season finale will premiere December 24.
