Fan-favorite Brendan Fraser is taking a chance at being the villain. According to Deadline, the Doom Patrol actor is joining Batgirl as the villain, Firefly. The solo film for Barbara Gordon was part of DC FanDome, and stars Leslie Grace. Bad Boys For Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are directing.

The Batgirl solo film follows the most established version of Batgirl in Barbara Gordon. Outside of that, details are slim.

Fraser has seen a career renaissance in the past couple years with roles in The Whale, No Sudden Move, and the upcoming Killers of the Flower Moon from Martin Scorsese.
