The comedy Timewasters premiered on ITV2 back in 2017, but there’s good news for Americans who didn’t catch the British series the first time around. (Or old fans who want to revisit the series.) Seasons 1 and 2 are headed to IMDb TV soon!

Timewasters will premiere on IMDb TV, Amazon’s free streaming service, starting June 11. The BAFTA-nominated series follows a struggling four-piece South London jazz band as they time travel via a urine-soaked elevator. In the first season, the band travels to 1920s high-society London, encountering pop culture luminaries, historical figures, and everyday citizens. The second season sees them jump forward to the 1950s. Met with strange stares and genuine curiosity in both eras, the group hilariously navigates the clash of cultures and social conventions all while exploring worlds that are, at once, both incredibly familiar and painfully foreign.

A Quick, Belated S1 Timewasters Review

At the risk of sounding cliché (and stating the obvious) watching Timewasters is no waste of time.

This comedy is fun, fresh, and easily bingeable. I tore through the six episodes of the first season way too fast. Then I felt that classic American-watches-a-British-series regret when I realized there were only six episodes in the season, and I’d binged them all. (But hey, at least I can check out season 2 now!)

I love a sci-fi twist and a comedic culture clash, and you get both with Timewasters. (To paraphrase the show… Time travel: it’s not just for white people anymore!)

The characters created by Daniel Lawrence Taylor work perfectly. Our four leads are flawed enough to keep them interesting (and primed for comedic hijinks), but not so much so they become annoying or unlikeable. Nick, Jason, Lauren, and Horace manage to be both messy and a force to be reckoned with. You’re going to think, How did they get into this mess? Every episode. And then when they get out of it again, How did they pull this off? I could never predict what the next episode would bring, but in the best possible way.

Really, I don’t want to describe Timewasters too much. I think it’s better to just experience it for yourself. Hit play on episode 1—you won’t regret it!

Timewasters season 1 and 2 arrives on IMDb TV June 11.
