Michael C. Hall is back as your favorite serial killer of killers. Showtime just dropped a new teaser for its Dexter revival.
While you won’t catch any big plot details from the 30 second clip, the teaser gives fans the first look at Hall back in character in nearly a decade. And of course, the use of “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” feels pretty apt for the character.
Showtime announced the Dexter revival last October. The show will pick up with Dexter Morgan’s life 10 years after the events of the original series finale. Here’s the official series description:
Set 10 years after Dexter Morgan went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura, the revival sees the character now living under an assumed name in a world away from Miami.
(Okay, maybe there’s a little bit of a plot reveal in the trailer after all. The snowy landscape certainly does hint at a world away from sunny Miami.)
In addition to Hall, the cast for the revival includes Jamie Chung, Clancy Brown, Julia Jones, Alano Miller, Johnny Sequoyah, and Jack Alcott.
Dexter ran for eight seasons on Showtime, ending in 2013. Showrunner Clyde Phillips will return for the revival, which airs this fall.
