Whatcha gon’ do… when Them arrives on Amazon Prime?

Binge the hell out of it, probably.

Check out the trailer for the new horror series below.

Them is a limited anthology series that explores terror in America. The 1950s-set first season centers on a Black family who moves from North Carolina to an all-white Los Angeles neighborhood during the period known as The Great Migration. The family’s idyllic home becomes ground zero where malevolent forces, next-door and otherworldly, threaten to taunt, ravage and destroy them.

The series comes from creator Little Marvin, with Lena Waithe also serving as an executive producer. Stars include Deborah Ayorinde, Ashley Thomas, Alison Pill, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Melody Hurd, and Ryan Kwanten.

Based on the trailer, it looks like this series will bring together elements from a lot of great recent horror media. It’s definitely a tribute to the real-life horrors of racism, like in Jordan Peele’s Get Out. (The title Them, of course, also feels reminiscent of Peele’s Us.) I can also see elements of Lovecraft Country and American Horror Story here. So if you’re a fan of any of those, Them seems worth checking out.

Them hits Amazon Prime on Friday, April 9.
