Rumors have been running rampant that Harry Potter star, Emma Watson is done acting. She hung up her acting cleats and walked away from the business. Well, according to Jason Weinberg, Emma’s manager, this is absolutely not the case. Emma Watson is NOT done acting! Weinberg stated the following:

“Emma’s social media accounts are dormant but her career isn’t,” he told EW in a statement.”

So what started this rumor? A site reported she was no longer acting because “she has gone dormant.” No. Her social media accounts went dormant. Somehow this was translated into she quit. Let’s see…in this day and age what could possibly cause a star to walk away from a social media platform. In an era where people lose their careers when someone does not like something they shared at any point in history, can you blame someone? Where stars are harassed and bullied because a group of people didn’t like their performance, can you blame someone? In Today’s day and age, it’s no wonder more stars haven’t 86’d their social media accounts.

Watson not done – Contributing Factors

Beyond a misreporting, the rumor Emma might be done acting does have several factors that would point to such a conclusion. Recent reports came out saying Emma Watson’s net worth pushed the $80 million mark. With that much money, needing another movie role does not jump to the front of the ‘need list’.

While Watson may not show many post-Potter credits, her name alone garners a hefty price tag. Emma played Belle in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast live action remake and Meg in 2019’s Little Women, but outside of that, she lacks any substantial movie credits. One would think this deals more with lack of will than lack of movie parts.

Then we get to Leo Robinton. Since 2019, the two have been linked. Some say they married, but no evidence exists of a union as of yet. Regardless the two remain serious and quite dedicated to a private life out of the public eye.

Ms Grainger may return one day to the public eye, but for now she seems quite content where she is.
