Warner Bros announced its entire 2021 film slate would debut on HBO Max. HBO Max followed this announcement by ending free trials.

It’s not entirely surprising, given that Warner Media will definitely want to cash in on those blockbusters. Plus, Netflix recently dropped their long-running free trial option as well in favor of a new model.

HBO Max had offered a free trial period since its launch in May 2020. Now, the streamer hopes to pull in new subscribers with blockbusters like Wonder Woman 1984… and a discounted subscription.

Wonder Woman 1984 heads to HBO Max

The platform is offering a deal for new subscribers who prepay for six months. The six-month deal costs $69.99 upfront. (That comes to a rate of about $11.66 per month, less than the regular $14.99/month price.) This deal runs from December 3 to January 15.
