Good news, Euphoria fans. You’re getting the special a little early!
HBO Max will debut the first Euphoria special episode early on Thursday, December 3. It will air at 12am ET / 9pm PT. This lets fans tune in a few days earlier than the official HBO premiere set for Sunday, December 6.
HBO recently released a trailer for part 1 of the special. Watch it below:
The episode, titled “Trouble Don’t Last Always,” comes from series creator Sam Levinson. Levinson wrote and directed the special.
Here’s the official synopsis from HBO:
In the aftermath of being left by Jules at the train station and relapsing, the first special episode follows Rue (played by Emmy-winner Zendaya) as she celebrates Christmas.
The episode will also star Hunter Schafer as Jules and Colman Domingo, who appeared in season one.
Details about part 2 of the special (including the title and airdate) are still TBA.
Euphoria earned three Emmy Awards this year. This included a win for Zendaya as Best Lead Actress in a Drama, making her the youngest person to win the award.
Catch the Euphoria special on December 3 on HBO Max and on December 6 on HBO.
