Besides giving you a taste of the scares the series holds, the teaser also highlights praise from some pretty big names. Both Guillermo del Toro and Stephen King have supported the series.
Servant tells the story of a Philadelphia couple in mourning after an unspeakable tragedy. The rift in their marriage then opens the door for a mysterious force to enter their home.
The Apple TV+ streaming strategy has relied on signing big names to their projects. In addition to EP Shyamalan, Servant features familiar faces from genre fare. The core cast includes Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), Toby Kebbell (Black Mirror), Nell Tiger Free (Game of Thrones), and Rupert Grint (Harry Potter). All will reprise their roles for the upcoming second season.
Shyamalan broke the news of the series’ return on his social media earlier today. He also thanked both del Toro and King for their praise of Servant.
After Servant‘s January 15 premiere, new episodes air weekly on Fridays. The second season will have ten total episodes.
