Netflix just dropped a new trailer for The Haunting of Bly Manor, and it teases even more scares.
While the last trailer gave us our first look at Bly Manor itself, this one gives us a closer look at its inhabitants.
Check it out for yourself here:
Bly Manor acts as a sort of followup to the widely successful Haunting of Hill House. However, this story follows an entirely new haunting and a new set of characters. (Though there are some familiar faces.)
Based on Henry James’ gothic novel The Turn of the Screw, Bly Manor tells the story of a young au pair who cares for two orphaned children. But the manor holds dark secrets – and, it seems, more than one ghost.
Hill House’s Victoria Pedretti returns for this spooky series as Dani Clayton, the au pair. In the new trailer, you can see her interact with the kids and the other hired help. And the other people may be just as scary as the ghosts. As iZombie’s Rahul Kohli warns, “The people here…they’re born here, they die here.”
In addition to that rather ominous message, the trailer teases quite a few other scares. As with any good horror production featuring kids, there’s some creepy nursery rhyme singing going on. Plus, whatever the hell this mask is supposed to be.
Luckily, we don’t have much longer to wait to experience the scares ourselves. The Haunting of Bly Manor hits Netflix October 9.
Meanwhile, we’re celebrating all things spooky and scary during Fright-A-Thon. So, check back to That Hashtag Show for even more horror news.
