LEGO has just announced their new 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina set. This is the latest of their Star Wars Master Builder sets, and boy is this a big one.
All the LEGO Cantina Details You Ever Need
The Cantina LEGO set contains a total of 3187 separate bricks, including 21 different minifigures of many of the Cantina characters you may remember from A New Hope. These include three members of the Cantina Band (Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes), those two guys that really wanted a fight with Luke Skywalker, and that one bounty hunter who led the stormtroopers to the Millennium Falcon.
When fully built, the Cantina LEGO set measures over 7.5″ (19 cm) tall, 20.5″ (52 cm) wide, and 23″ (58 cm) deep; and that’s not including the land speeders and attachable external buildings.
Oh, and did I mention that this is when you open it up? That’s right. You can open up the entire set along a hinge, and the roof comes off as one single piece. This means you can easily decorate and admire the Cantina’s interior. Without having to disassemble the entire set.
Best of all, this ease of access also allows you to easily reach in and recreate classic scenes from Star Wars.
Now you can finally resolve that age old question of who shot first: Han or Greedo?

So How Do I Go About Getting This?
I’m glad you asked. The entire Cantina LEGO set is available from LEGO’s own website for “only” $349.99. Yeah, that’s a huge chunk out of your wallet, but it’s fair given how big the whole set is. Unfortunately, there’s a catch: it’s not quite out yet. The entire set will go live on October 1 for the general public. However, the set is available to LEGO VIP members earlier on September 16. It’s free to join, so it seems like a good deal.
