If you’ve been itching for new Dune content, it’s finally here.
Technically, it’s only a teaser – essentially, a trailer for a trailer. According to the teaser though, the real trailer drops tomorrow (September 9). So, fans don’t have long to wait.
Check out the teaser posted to Twitter below.
The teaser scrolls through the faces of the star-studded cast, accompanied by a voiceover from Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides. He says:
“Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”
Paul voices this “Litany Against Fear” early in the story, right before he’s forced to reach his hand into a device that inflicts excruciating pain. (It’s a test from an oracle-like figure and meant to determine the kind of leader he will become.)
People who braved movie theaters to see Christopher Nolan’s Tenet glimpsed this footage already. But for most of us, this is the first real look we’ve had at Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation. We can expect the full trailer tomorrow to reveal even more.
