Cyberpunk 2077, one of the most anticipated video games of 2020, finally has an official release date and a brand new trailer.
Cyberpunk 2077 – Official Trailer – The Gig
The open world, action adventure game developed by CD PROJEKT RED first announced at E3 last year sparked a lot of buzz with the inclusion of actor, Keanu Reeves, playing Johnny Silverhand in the game. The futuristic, dystopian world of Cyberpunk 2077 is slated for November 19th, 2020. Cyberpunk 2020 is launching on XBox One, PS4, PC, and Stadia.
“The Gig” trailer highlights more of the grimy, metropolitan world of Night City. The trailer also introduces a few of the game’s characters such as V, the main character of the game, and of course, gives us another glimpse of Keanu Reeves’ character, Johnny Silverhand. From the trailer alone, the graphics are crisp showcasing the abundant city lights, the night life, and plenty of explosions.
Game-Play Footage
In addition to the new trailer, the Cyberpunk 2077 YouTube channel released some game-play footage. The footage shows V talking with Judy at Lizzie’s Bar, setting the scene and tone of the entire story.
Netflix Series
As if that wasn’t enough Cyberpunk excitement for one day, it has also been announced that Netflix is partnering with Studio Trigger and the game developers at CD PROJEKT RED in developing a 10-episode Cyberpunk 2077 anime series for the platform. Although the series isn’t set to release until 2022. This gives gamers plenty of time to clock in hours and enjoy the game before the series.
With the anticipation of Cyberpunk 2077’s release in November, perhaps the PS5 is also set for an official release date too. Only time will tell. Make sure to follow us @thathashtagshow to keep up to date on all things Cyberpunk.
