Prime Video is ending The Summer I Turned Pretty with Season 3. The streamer announced that the final chapter will begin in July. So, fans have plenty of time to catch up on The Summer I Turned Pretty before the show takes its final bow this summer.

Fans of the Jenny Han’s book series knew this day would come. “We’ll Always Have Summer” is the final book in the trilogy that began with “The Summer I Turned Pretty.” Prime Video isn’t going to pursue any kind of original continuation and fans might be relieved to hear that.

Instead, The Summer I Turned Pretty will get one more dramatic turn with Lola Tung, Gavin Casalegno and Christopher Briney. The heart of this series beats with the love triangle between their three characters. It’s bound to be an emotional scene as we head toward the end of this story.

How Will The Summer I Turned Pretty End?

While the show may be wrapping up, that doesn’t mean that love triangle is settled. Lola Tung is happy about last season’s finale. But, it sounds like there could be some more twists and turns in Season 3. She talked to Entertainment Weekly about heading into the final chapter.

“I was very happy with how the season ended,” Tung said of The Summer I Turned Pretty. “We see it in episode 6 at the party when Belly is drunk on the beach and she’s talking to Conrad. She tells him how much she would’ve fought for that relationship, how much it meant to her, and he just doesn’t seem to be able to articulate to her that same sense of urgency and that same idea that he would’ve fought for them.

Tung argues, “She wants someone who’s going to fight for her, and in that moment, Jeremiah is that right choice, and the choice that will allow her to be happy without the drama of it.”
