Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is one of the most popular anime series in the world right now. In fact, this anime adaptation of the manga of the same name by Koyoharu Gotouge is so popular that it has basically gone mainstream. As mainstream as the likes of One Piece, Naruto, Pokemon, etc., which really should tell you just how much of a hit the anime has become.

Meanwhile, Major League Baseball (MLB) is exactly what it says on the tin. It’s one of the biggest professional baseball leagues in the US, if not the world. In fact, it’s the third largest professional sports group by revenue after the NFL and NBA.

So what do these two have in common? Normally, the answer would be absolutely nothing. However, that has changed now with a MLB x Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba collab. All to celebrate both the upcoming MLB World Tour Tokyo Series and (by pure coincidence) the announcing of the theatrical release dates for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle. Mostly the former though, since it is going to start the pre-season games with the Hanshin Tigers being pitted against the Yomiuri Giants on March 15 and 16. The opening games will follow that with the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. the Chicago Cubs on March 18 and 19.

And of course, what kind of collab would this be without some collab content? Fortunately, Aniplex Channel delivered on YouTube with an entire promo video for this MLB x Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba collab, which you can check out below:

MLB x Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Launches Collab with Promo Video

Now those are two logos I never thought I would ever see next to each other.

Alas, there are no English subtitles for this MLB x Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba promo video. There’s only Japanese subtitles, so you’re going to need some fluency in Japanese to understand what they’re saying. However, you don’t need Japanese linguistic skills to see that Urokodaki is the guest star of this promo video, and that the baseball players are smashing home runs with the force of Tanjiro’s sword swings.

What do you think? Does this promo video make you want to pay more attention to either baseball or Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba? Are you more excited for the MLB World Tour Tokyo Series now? Give us your thoughts on them in the comments section below.
